Let me tell you a story about a recent meeting I had with a prospective client.
I was asking them questions about their current retirement plan—what they liked and didn’t like, etc. They told me there were no issues and that they thought their plan was average compared to other plans.
When they said “average,” it really got me thinking: Did they really go into business to be an average company? When their salespeople go out to the market and sell their products and services, do they tell their prospects their service is average?
I hope you agree with me when I say that no one wants their business to be just average. So why would you want your retirement plans for your employees to be just average? Why not have a quintessential retirement program that will help your employees have a secure retirement outcome?
The dictionary defines ‘quintessential’ as “representing the most perfect example of quality or class.” In the opening chapter of our book, “The Quintessential 401(k),” we talk about what it means to have a quintessential retirement program and why it’s important to invest in your employees and their family’s futures. Throughout the book, we provide you a blueprint for creating a successful retirement plan that is truly best-in-class.
